Who is collecting your data?

Your data is collected by the project team responsible for the proposed redevelopment of 2–4 Colne Road, Twickenham. It is used solely for the purposes of this pre-application community consultation.

What data do we collect?

When you submit a consultation response we collect your name, address or postcode, email address, your view on the proposal, and any comments you choose to provide. You are not required to provide all fields, but name, address/postcode, and email are requested so we can identify local respondents and contact you if needed.

Why do we collect it?

We collect this information to understand the views of local residents and businesses before submitting a planning application to the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. Your comments will be reviewed by the project team and may inform changes to the proposals.

What is the legal basis?

We process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR). Our legitimate interest is to carry out a meaningful pre-application community consultation in connection with a proposed planning application.

Who will see your data?

Your response will be seen by the project team and their professional advisers (including planning consultants and architects) involved in preparing the planning application. We will not share your personal data with any third party for marketing or unrelated purposes. Anonymised or aggregated summaries of consultation responses may be included in a Statement of Community Involvement submitted to the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames as part of the planning application.

How long do we keep your data?

We will retain your personal data for the duration of the planning process, including any appeal period. Once the planning process is concluded your personal data will be securely deleted, unless we are required to retain it for longer by law.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request erasure of your data (subject to any legal obligations to retain it), object to processing, and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
